If there was a single nail art style or theme that feels sort of like my signature, it's probably plaid nails. I've loved plaid nails ever since I figured out how to do them and I feel like you can basically work plaid into every occasion. That said, I think Christmas is the perfect time for a plaid mani and I really, really wanted to do one for #12NailsOfChristmas this year. I sort of wracked my brains to think of the perfect design until I got my hands on Dimension Nails Amazonian Manatee*, which is the absolute perfect rich forest green base for a plaid nail. From there, it came together in my head really easily.

There are a couple of staples in my life when it comes to body moisturizer, products that I literally have near me at all times, and one of those products is the HEMPZ Original Herbal Body Moisturizer. I often carry one of the little travel sizes around with me in my purse to use while I'm out and about, but I also have a full sized bottle of it on my desk at work and I reach for it pretty much every day. Ahhhhh! It's officially Christmastime - though admittedly, I've been digging into my Christmas spirit since about an hour after it was officially no longer Halloween. And, of course, here on the blog that means that it's time for 12 Nails Of Christmas - the most wonderful time of the year? Over the next few weeks leading up the Christmas, I'll be posting 12 different mani's in celebration - and in hopes that I might offer some inspiration for anyone looking for some. So, to start, I wanted to go with a mani that I think is one that literally anyone could recreate!

So, without further ado, let's get into the first day of 12 Nails Of Christmas!

Okay, everyone, Halloween is officially over and that means IT'S TIME TO GET READY FOR THE HOLIDAYS. I know, I know, it can be frustrating when the stores start to fill with red and gold as soon as the orange and black gets taken down, the Christmas carols ringing everywhere you go, but as a pretty huge fan of the Christmas season... my body is ready! And one of my favorite things about the holiday season for the past several years has been the Live Clean Holiday Hand Soaps. In fact, last year I stocked up on my favorite scent and literally used it all year, that's how much I love these babies. In the beauty world, it feels like the holiday season is starting earlier and earlier every year. I remember back in the day when it wasn't until after Halloween that we started seeing holiday sets popping up at Sephora, but these days it seems like we start seeing them released even before Labour Day hits. I have to be honest... it takes a little bit of the magic out of it for me and I actually thought I was going to be pretty disenchanted with this year's holiday beauty releases... but so far, there are actually quite a few that have gotten me excited. Of course, there's also quite a few that I'm just... not at all interested in, so I figured I'd share both the hits and misses for me and why I would or wouldn't pick them up for myself.
