Several years ago, I tried out some products from Simple and they just weren't for me, but I'd heard so many good things about the brand that I was definitely excited to try them out again - especially since my skin has actually changed a lot and become a lot more sensitive since I tried them out last. I was especially excited to get to try out both the Cleansing Micellar Water* and the Micellar Make-Up Remover Wipes*, since I'm always looking for new and exciting versions of both of those products in the drugstore.

Keep reading for more!

Simple Cleansing Micellar Water*
Micellar water, in my experience, is strangely subjective. I've found that there tends to be pretty polarizing reactions to it depending on the person. For me, this was a really good one. I found that it was gentle but did a really good job of taking off my makeup. I tried this the way that I generally use it, which is just to remove my eye makeup, and I found that it did a good job of taking off pretty much anything but waterproof mascara. At this point, I feel like no micellar water is going to take off my waterproof mascara the way that an oil would, so I really don't have that expectation. I found that when I used this on my eyes, they didn't feel sensitive afterwards, which is a definite plus. I also tried this using cotton pads to take off my face makeup and I was pretty impressed with how well it did without much work on my part.

Overall, I think this is a really good micellar water option that performs quite well and carries an affordable price tag.

Simple Micellar Make-Up Remover Wipes*
I am extremely picky about face wipes, I have to admit. Most of them, I don't even bother, so I was holding this to a pretty high standard against the one makeup wipe that I actually do continue to repurchase and I have to say that it held up incredibly well. I love the texture of the wipe itself, which is always important. It's a sort of quilted texture, which gives it a kind of plush softness that I like against my skin. As far as performance, I'm pretty impressed. I think these wipes did a really good job of removing all of my face makeup without being irritating or stripping to my skin. I will admit that these are likely going to live on my nightstand until I use them up, ready to be used when I'm just too lazy for my full nighttime skin care routine and just want to get everything off and go to sleep. I would give these my recommendation.

Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturizer*
Unfortunately, this moisturizer just didn't work out for me as well as I was hoping. I think that this would be a great option for someone with oily skin, particularly teens, but for my dry skin in the early stages of maturing, I just don't think it packed enough punch. It's quite light and it soaked in quickly, which does make it a good option for wearing underneath makeup. It has a slight smell to it that I associate with drugstore skin care products - I'm pretty sure everyone knows the scent that I mean. It's light and completely non-offensive, but still not my favorite. So like I said, I think that this would be ideal for teen skin, because it's quite light and isn't going to be irritating to skin that might be breaking out, and will provide enough moisture for that skin type, but if you're drier I would probably choose something else.

Overall, I have to say that my feelings about Simple are much improved. I definitely enjoyed both of the Micellar products and will likely pick up both of them again in the future. I think I'm probably going to pass along the moisturizer to a family member who will get better use out of it, though I might keep it and try it again in the summer when my skin definitely needs a lot less hydration than it does currently. I'm also thinking I might give another look to other products in the Simple brand, because I am finding that sensitive skin products work quite well for me.
