Surprise! Today I've got another Covergirl foundation to review for you guys. This time around it's the Covergirl + Olay Simply Ageless 3-in-1 Liquid Foundation*. Considering how much I loved the Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream, this has a lot to live up to. Now, the Simply Ageless line has been around for quite a while, but I'll admit that I hadn't actually ever tried any of it until now, but I actually did pick up the Simply Ageless Serum Primer recently - it's very possible that it's  being discontinued and replaced with the new Simply Ageless Foundation Primer - so I figured it was a good time to try both products together.

ABOUT:
COVERGIRL meets Olay science with a product that instantly reduces the look of wrinkles, evens skin tones and delivers firming hydration with the Simply Ageless 3-in-1 foundation.

. Instantly reduces the look of wrinkles
. Improves tone
. Delivers firming moisture

For the purposes of this review, I tried this product both with and without primer because I wanted to see how it performed both ways. I don't actually use foundation primer most days, partially because it's just another layer of stuff on my face that could increase the appearance of texture on my skin but mostly because I just forget. I feel like this actually performs very much the same regardless of whether or not I used primer on me. For reference, my skin is quite normal and in this warmer weather tends to get shiny by the end of the day.

As you can see, this product does come with a pump - which is never a bad thing.
It's a good pump too, not too much product dispensed per pump.

The texture on this foundation is quite thick and emollient, which I find actually makes it really easy to blend on the skin. It's also very hydrating and makes my skin feel really good. I find the best way to apply this and get good coverage is to first apply it to the skin with my fingers and spread it before buffing it in with a brush. I find that if I apply it with my flat top brush from the back of my hand, it sucks up quite a bit of product. I suspect that it would work well with a damp sponge as well, but I haven't actually tried it.

I would say that this is a medium coverage foundation that you can sheer down quite easily. I have built it up a little bit on spots where I have redness and need a little bit more coverage and I feel like the amount of coverage that it gives is really good for what I'm personally looking for.

As far as wear, I do find that this does get shiny on me after about 5 hours and by the end of a long workday is has started to wear down. I don't really find that this breaks up on me or slides around my skin though. Also, I've found that it mattifies fairly easily with a light dusting of blotting powder and doesn't get cakey.

I have to say that I really like this foundation - although I do think it'll be better for me personally once the winter comes and my skin is a little drier, because it's quite a hydrating foundation. I would recommend this for people with normal to dry skin, which makes it good for a lot of people who are starting to mature as our skin starts to need more hydration as we age. While this isn't my favorite Covergirl foundation, I do think it's quite good and I think a lot of people will really enjoy it.
