You guys know that VICHY is one of my favorite skin care brands and that I've had really incredible success with so many of their products. For ages, now, one of my favorite products in the summer has been the VICHY Eau Thermale, which is a mineral water mist that I tend to use to refresh my skin and give it a bit of a drink throughout the day, so I was really excited when I had the chance to try out the brand new VICHY Mineral 89 Skin Fortifying Daily Booster*, which contains 89% Mineralizing Thermal Water and Hyaluronic Acid. Sounds kind of great, right?

So what's this product supposed to do? Basically, it claims to boost hydration and strengthen the skin's moisture barrier, giving you brighter, more plump and hydrated skin. Basically, the idea is that the 15 minerals in the Vichy Mineraling Thermal Water are really nourishing for the skin, while the inclusion of sodium hyaluronate (the salt form of hyaluronic acid) will help to retain hydration in the skin. For me, hyaluronic acid has become a must in my skin care routine, so I was really excited to try this out.

I've been using this both day and night as the step right before my moisturizer, which is where I like to use all of my hyaluronic products based on what I've read about how to get the best efficacy from the ingredient. I use one pump in the palm of my hands and massage it into the skin and I find that the immediate feeling is like I've given my skin a really refreshing drink of water. It feels cooling and instantly hydrating without feeling the least bit heavy on the skin, and sinks in quickly without feeling overly sticky. While I like this both day and night, it's really become a must have for my daytime routine when I'm using ingredients that aren't as rich, because it wakes me up and makes my skin look and feel really plump before makeup application.

Overall, I'm really, really happy with this product. I've found that with continued use I've really seen a difference in the look and feel of my skin as far as being consistently hydrated. You know that feeling where your skin feels bouncy and youthful? That's what I've really noticed this product giving me. I have a feeling that this is going to be a summer must have for me, because that refreshing, cooling feeling it gives me is really welcome and it helps to deeply hydrate without feeling heavy on the skin. Also, because it deserves it's due, this gorgeous glass bottle with the blue ombré on the bottom and the pump is just dreamy. I mean, it could not be more perfect for this product.
