Prairie Beauty

With this winter being sort of all over the place and my skin being in a pretty weird place coming into it after several months of 2020 exhaustion having trimmed down my skin routine to the bare minimum, I was absolutely DYING to try out these two products from the VICHY Liftactiv Supreme line - and so was my skin. Winter on the prairies is pretty rough on most people's skin, I think, and as I get older I'm definitely noticing more and more impact to how my skin behaves as the weather gets colder and drier, so these two products with their focus on a hydration and moisture to bring back that youthful bounce were definitely appealing!

I have to say, I was SUPER excited when I found out that VICHY had reformulated their Aqualia Thermal line and were coming out with four new, exciting products. This line has long been a favorite of mine, particularly for my winter skin, so I was excited to see products that I suspected would work for my normal leaning combination skin type all year around. With a new serum and three different moisturizers, I felt like there would not only be something for everyone, but something for the environmental changes that can influence what types of products we need to use on our skin.

Once upon a time, I thought all makeup wipes were created equal. Now that I'm pretty hardcore about skin care and really take the time to notice the differences, I definitely know that this isn't true. Generally, when I use a makeup wipe, it's either the first step in my cleansing routine or (admittedly) if I'm already in bed and I'm too lazy for a full cleanse but know that if I sleep in my makeup I'll regret it in three days when my skin rebels. In both of those instances, but particularly the second, I want something that's going to work well without leaving my skin tight or irritated.

Recently, I've had the opportunity to test out the new VICHY Pureté Thermale Micellar Cleansing Wipes*, and because I really love VICHY products over all I had high hopes that I was really going to love them. Keep reading for more!

You guys know that VICHY is one of my favorite skin care brands and that I've had really incredible success with so many of their products. For ages, now, one of my favorite products in the summer has been the VICHY Eau Thermale, which is a mineral water mist that I tend to use to refresh my skin and give it a bit of a drink throughout the day, so I was really excited when I had the chance to try out the brand new VICHY Mineral 89 Skin Fortifying Daily Booster*, which contains 89% Mineralizing Thermal Water and Hyaluronic Acid. Sounds kind of great, right?

As you guys know if you read this blog with any frequency at all, VICHY is one of my favorite skin care brands and I've been consistently using their products for the past couple of years or so with really great success. Recently, VICHY released 4 new products in the Idéalia line and, I can tell you, the excitement was real for me as soon as I saw them teased on my social media. The Idéalia line is perfect for women in their 30s, which is where I am currently, and helps to revive dull skin and fight the first signs of aging. Since I first tried the Idéalia Life Serum, this particular range has been a favorite of mine and one that I've used consistently in my routine.

I got the opportunity to try out all four of the new products and I have to say, VICHY has done it again! Keep reading for more!

When it comes to winter skin, I'm definitely in the camp of really needing to pay attention to keeping my skin hydrated, like so many others. For a long time, intense dryness and dehydration was a big problem for me in the winter, causing both discomfort and annoying breakouts and irritation. Over the past few years, as I've started to get a better understanding of what my skin needs, I've been trying a lot of different things to maintain my winter skin. This past couple of months, I've been testing out these three products from the VICHY Aqualia Thermal line, a line that I've had a lot of success with in the past year or so when it comes to really solid hydrating products.

Did anyone else used to get terrified of the word "peel", or is that just me? I have to say, I've actually learned to love the word as I've more consistently been using products with the word "peel" in the name and having had a couple of in office peels at both a spa and a dermatology clinic. Peels are GREAT things, in my opinion, which made me really excited to try out the VICHY Double Glow Peel Mask*, one of their 3 new masks. You may remember my review of the VICHY Pore Purifying Clay Mask* and how much I was obsessed with it, and I think that obsession might have overshadowed this one a bit. That said, let's finally talk about it, shall we???

Have you guys checked out my reviews from the VICHY Teint Ideal range yet? Honestly, I feel like these are some great new releases that everyone should take a look at, because there really are some great products in this range. Finally, I've gotten to another favorite of mine from this line, the VICHY Teint Ideal Illuminating Fluid Foundation*. I've been using this foundation really consistently recently and I'm definitely ready to give you guys my thoughts!

I'm realizing more and more that I'm becoming a bit of a foundation junkie - and I'm definitely getting more and more invested in finding a foundation that works exactly the way I want it to with my skin. Of course, I was thrilled when I found out that VICHY was releasing both a cream and a liquid foundation for different skin types, and I was excited to try them both out to see which one worked best for me. The first one I'm going to review for you guys is the VICHY Teint Idéal Illuminating Cream Foundation*, which is intended for people with dry skin.

So, the thing is, I'm really no fan of liquid or cream highlighters because I just find them to be too much work, but I was still willing to give the VICHY Teint Idéal Pure Light Face Roll-On* a chance, because I'm such a huge fan of the brand and I've never been one to count anything out completely. If you've read my reviews of the Teint Idéal Illuminating Powder Foundation* and Bronzing Powder*, you'll know just how much this range has impressed me so far. So how did the product that held the least appeal to me personally hold up?

If you saw my review of the VICHY Teint Idéal Illuminating Powder Foundation*, you'll already know that I've been excitedly trying out most of the products in the new VICHY Teint Idéal makeup range. I feel like I should reiterate what a huge fan of VICHY products that I am and just how excited I was that they were releasing and entire range of base makeup products - here's hoping colour products are next on the menu, because that would be amazing! Anyway, without further adieu, let's get into my review of the VICHY Teint Idéal Bronzing Powder*!

So, you guys know that I lovelovelove VICHY skin care products. I find that my skin really loves them and I always like how my skin looks and feels while I'm using them. Because of my love for the brand, it'll be no surprise to anyone that I pretty much lost it when I first saw the display of the new VICHY Teint Idéel makeup products at my local Shoppers Drug Mart. I went mad with swatching power and instantly wanted to try everything. Luckily, I got the chance to try almost all of the products through PR and I've been testing them consistently to get a solid opinion on all of them. The first one I wanted to talk about is the VICHY Teint Idéal Illuminating Powder Foundation* and - SPOILERS! - I'm obsessed with it.

You guys know just how deep my love of VICHY goes recently. I literally want to put every product on my face and see how it works out for my skin, because there really have been a lot of winners in the products that I've tried over the past year or so. One product that I've always wanted to try is the VICHY IDEALIA BB Cream*. The VICHY IDEALIA line is intended for people who are showing the first signs of aging, and I've already pretty much fallen in love with the IDEALIA LIFE SERUM & SKIN SLEEP*,  so I've wanted to try this as well. I've put it on my hand several times in the store and thought about purchasing it, but never managed to actually get it into my basket and home with me. So recently when I had the chance to try out some VICHY products that I'd had my eye on, this BB Cream was at the top of the list.

So, did it live up to the hopes? Keep reading to find out!

When it comes to reviewing skin care products, I definitely try to put myself in the shoes of people who have different skin than I have and be constructive about products that don't work for me based on my skin type. But honestly, there's no way I can make guesses when it comes to how a product will work on mature skin because I'm in the early signs of aging stage myself and there's just really no guess. SO, when I heard that VICHY was releasing Neovadiol Night Compensating Complex*, a product designed to support menopausal skin, I absolutely had to pass it along to my mom, get her to use it consistently for a few weeks, and then ask her some questions and summarize her experience for you guys! I didn't tell her about any of the claims that the product made, because I wanted her to tell me exactly how she felt about it without any of that in her head.

Wanna know how this worked out for my mom? Keep reading!

For a long time, I passed over spa waters in the skin care section because it just seemed like something that I really didn't need. However, a couple of years ago a local makeup artist who is a friend of a friend mentioned that she loves to use it as a last step in makeup to give everything a seamless appearance and take down powderiness. My interest was piqued, obviously, and I picked up a bottle of the VICHY Eau Thermale Mineralizing Thermal Water* and have been a convert ever since. And when I say convert, I mean that I keep a big bottle on my desk at work and one on my vanity at home. And if I had a small bottle, it would be in my purse at all times. I got a chance to try the newly renamed and repackaged version recently and, though I've mentioned my love for it on the blog before, I thought this was a good time to go into a little more detail.

Is your interest piqued? Keep reading for more!

I need to start this review off with a little story. I've talked about it a lot here on the blog the past couple of weeks, but it bears repeating in this case. When I went to Florida earlier this month, which was INCREDIBLY hot and required quite a bit of sunscreen for days in theme parks as well as long floats in the lazy river at our resort, my skin went insane. When I say my skin went insane, what I mean is that I broke out worse than I have since I was a teenager and the overall appearance and texture of my skin was absolutely awful. No lie, I was waking up every morning after the second day I was there with a new raft of pimples and uneven skin texture and just absolutely hating my skin. A couple of days after I got home, I received a package with the new VICHY masks, including the VICHY Pore Purifying Clay Mask*, and it seemed like it was the perfect time to try it out - since my pores were in desperate need of some purifying. If ever there was an opportunity to really, really test a product, this was it.

So how did it turn out? Keep reading for more!

If you've been reading this blog for a while, you'll know that VICHY is actually a favorite skin care brand of mine. I feel like their products are affordable, effective, widely available, and there's something for pretty much every skin type so anyone can find something that will work for them. Recently, as a member of ChickAdvisor, I had the opportunity to try out their Pureté Thermale Cleansing Routine*. While I had tried one of the products before, I was actually already a huge fan of it, the other two were new to me and I was excited to give them a try. I've been using these products consistently for the past three weeks and I'm ready to give my review.

Over the past year or so, Vichy has really been doing me good and I continue to use a lot of the products that I've had the opportunity to try here on the blog. In fact, if anyone would be interested in an update post on all of the Vichy products that I've reviewed, let me know in the comments because I'd love to do that! Now, I recently got the opportunity to try the newly reformulated Vichy Liftactiv Serum 10 Supreme* and I was insanely excited about it because the Vichy Idealia Life Serum* was one of my favorite skin care products of 2015 and remains one of my favorite serums that I've ever used. I've been using this consistently for a few weeks now and I'm ready to let you know what I think of it!

Anyone else tragically bad at remembering to apply body lotion? I admit it, I'm absolutely terrible at it. Lately, though, for various reasons including but not limited to winter-related dry skin, I've been making a concentrated effort to be a little more diligent in my body lotion routine. A perfect time to test out the Vichy Ideal Body Aqua Sorbet*, am I right? I've been using this lotion consistently for a few weeks now and I'm ready to let you guys know my thoughts!

You guys will already know, if you've checked out my 2015 Skin Care Favorites, that I'm a huge fan of the Idéalia line from VICHY. Last year I got the chance to try out the Idéalia Life Serum and the Idéalia Skin Sleep, and both have become favorites of mine pretty quicky. I feel like the line works very well for where I am with my skin right now. As you guys know, I'm in my 30s and dealing with all of the things that a lot of women in their 30s are dealing with, and this line works very beautifully for my skin. So, of course, when I got the chance to try out the new VICHY Idéalia Day Cream*, I was more than excited to get it on my skin and see how it worked out. I feel like this is also the perfect time of year to really test out moisturizers, since my skin definitely leans dry at this time of year.

Keep reading for my thoughts on this product!
