MANI MONDAY: Soft Gradient Bridal Nail Art

by - April 01, 2019

Hey guys! I'm super excited for the next couple of weeks of #CBBxManiMonday, because our theme is Bridal Nails and it's very timely since I'm about to stand up with my best friend at her wedding coming up this month. When it comes to bridal nails, I think most people want to keep everything soft, sort of simple, and classically pretty so I wanted to take that and combine it with my personal style for this week's Soft Gradient Bridal Nail Art - and of course I had to add a little bit of bonus stamping at the end because, well, I'm me!

Keep reading for more!

I started, as usual, with a coat of Unt Ready For Take Off Peel Off Base Coat. Next, I went it with one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Petal To The Metal, which is a pale silvery pink metallic and let that dry completely. I wanted to only use two colours for the gradient, almost doing a baby boomer style nail, so I applied a stripe of Maniology Bam White Stamping Polish to the end of a makeup sponge and then applied Petal To The Metal to the rest of the sponge. Using the stamping polish for the white really, really worked well because it's so pigmented that it really mixed with the metallic pink to create a smooth gradiated blend.

Once the gradient was applied, I went in with KBShimmer Prism Break, which is a really fine holographic top coat, the further blend the gradient and to add some holo glitz to the look. (Told you I had to get a little bit of me in there!) Finally, I finished with a generous coat of Seche Vive Top Coat and I seriously can not get enough of how this turned out.

Because I'm forever extra and love to add stamping to pretty much any mani, I decided to try out a little bit of delicate rose stamping on this one and I absolutely love how it turned out. This rose image from the BeautyBigBang10 Stamping Plate is almost lacy in how delicate it is and gives a really beautiful look over the gradient. I particularly like how the Maniology Bam White Stamping Polish gives it a really crisp and still somehow subtle look over the soft gradient. I've got mad heart eyes for this mani!

I really, really, really love how this mani turned out and I think it's a really great choice that you can do at home for a wedding or special event. In fact, I think I might recreate something similar to this that might match a little bit better with my bridesmaid dress for my friend's upcoming wedding, I like it that much!
