MANI MONDAY: Nude & Gold Rose Nail Art
Hey guys! I'm so excited for what I put together for this week's #CBBxManiMonday - I really am. When I sat down to do my nails, I had a couple of ideas in my head to continue with the floral theme for May and I tried them out but they just weren't coming together the way I wanted to. Ultimately, I had to stop and think of something else. I'm not actually sure where the inspiration came from, but when I finished this mani and saw the final product I was beyond thrilled. This actually may be my favorite nail art look I've done so far in 2019 - so I hope you guys really like it too!

I found myself wanting something soft and sort of delicate, so I started out with two coats of Essie Gel Couture Polish in Last Nightie. It's a sheer nude shade with a really pretty gold shimmer through it and the formula is basically a dream - not quite completely opaque on two coats, but gives a good even coverage. I then went in with Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Go For Gold and used my Dry Brushed Stamping technique to add gold detailing underneath where I was going to add stamping. It ends up being, I think, quite subtle but really adds something special to the overall look.
For the stamping, I used Maniology Straight Up Black Stamping Polish with my NailStuff.ca Clear Stamper along with the Born Pretty Store BP-L067 Stamping Plate. The large roses image was perfect for this because I was able to turn and shift the stamper to get a completely unique image on each nail, which is definitely what I wanted. To add a little bit of extra interest, I then went in with the smallest dotting tool that I have and more of my black stamping polish to place three small dots on each nail for a little bit of extra interest.
I finished with a coat of Essence The Gel Polish Top Coat and voila! I'm in love!

Honestly, I think the reason that I'm so in love with this is really that it's a fantastic ratio of easy and impactful. Sometimes it can be really frustrating to put a ton of work and time in and end up with results that are kind of meh at the end of the day, so this type of mani that's actually quite straight forward but really has great beautiful, impactful results is always appreciated. And, you know, just to toot my own horn... my grandma's roommates at the hospital loooooooved it when I showed them yesterday!
Be sure to head over to Cosmetic Proof, See The World In PINK, and Tea & Nail Polish today for more floral themed nail art for #CBBxManiMonday!
