I must admit, so many of the ideas that I have for Christmas nails this year are inspired by other nail artists and today's mani is definitely one of those. This mani from Delishious Nails has been one that I've been completely in love with from the first time I saw it and it very, very much inspired the polishes and design that I chose for this mani. I skipped adding the reindeer to my mani specifically because I loved this little peek-a-boo through the snowy layered evergreens to this glowing, flakie, glittery base, but I definitely have to give a nod to the mani that inspired this one because I just absolutely love it.

Honestly, even though this base polish from Cadillacquer is called Summer Rain*, it's one of my absolute favorites to reach for during the holidays. There's just something about it and I can't guarantee that it won't pop up again as a base later in the month. For this mani, I applied two coats as my base and let them dry completely. Seriously, though, guys, if you've been curious about trying out Cadillacquer and this sort of shade is your thing, I highly, highly recommend picking this one because it's an absolute stunner. 

Honestly, the stamping for this mani is so super straight forward. I wanted it to have that snowiness on top of a rich, rich evergreen sort of shade, so I started by applying the image using Clear Jelly Stamper Lush Leaf and then followed by applying the same image, very slightly shifted, using Clear Jelly Stamper Jenny's Gonna Love This. Also, as I tend to do when I'm using the same image for all of my nails, I alternated flipping the image over on every other nail. This ended up being pretty subtle with this mani, but I think it works.

To finish, I sealed in my stamping with a water based top coat and then finished with a coat of quick dry glossy top coat and voila!

Honestly, every time I really look at this base polish, I fall in love with it all over again, and I seriously think it's perfect for Christmas nail art even though it's expressly a summer polish. Also, I love the way this stamping turned out. I think it's distinctly wintery while still being a little bit more subtle. Just me?
