I feel like March is doing very, very strange things to my brain this year. I mean, I suspect that it's almost certainly a combination of it being a officially a year into our pandemic altered reality along with the fact that my brain is not good at seasons changing and it's something that causes varying levels of struggle every time it happens. Anyway, when it comes to nail art, I'm sort of all over the place, but for some reason I'm really sort of just grabbing onto these sort of art deco-esque designs and just sort of running with them. For this week's green themed #CBBxManiMonday, I grabbed for a favorite base polish of mine and just went for what my brain wanted.

Enchanted Forest** from Cadillacquer is one of my absolute favorite polishes in my collection. I'm a bit of a fiend for green nail polish and I think this one just knocks it out of the park with gorgeousness. This NailStuff.ca exclusive shade is just this stunning, rich forest green packed full of ultra chrome gold flakes. It's amazing and I always, always, always love the mani's that I get when I pull it out. For this mani, I applied two coats as my base.

Like I said, I'm having a distinct moment right now with the crisp, graphic repeating patterns that I associate with the art deco period, so for my stamping I decided to use something in that vein. This pattern from the Pict You PY-J038 Stamping Plate probably wouldn't scream art deco to someone who is very well versed in the period, but it worked for what I was looking for. I decided to pair it with this sort of neon olive green and I think it really popped over the base shade while still feeling cohesive.

Once I was happy with my stamping, I sealed it in with a water based top coat and followed with a quick dry glossy top coat for shine and volume. And voila!

Sometimes you've just gotta let your brain do what it wants to do. I'm curious, is anyone else feeling that overwhelm with us hitting the year mark for COVID restrictions along with the season change coming out in weird and mysterious ways? Let me know!
