Well, there you have it! This month long marathon of Halloween nail art is coming to an end and I have to tell you... it's been a bit of a rollercoaster. I have to admit that this was basically a three month long process that started with working out far more ideas that I actually ended up doing back in the summer and then I actually started doing the nail art for this Halloween season in the first week of September, alternating through periods of going hard and then taking long breaks as my inspiration and executive function waned. I also ended up with a profoundly broken nail and some family struggles towards the end of this month, so I did have to leave these last two days without nail art, but I would say that 29 Halloween themed nail designs really is nothing to sneeze at! It has been super fun and I'm so thrilled with so much of the nail art I've been able to do.

So without further ado, let's get into my very last Halloween themed nail art design for 2022!

When putting together 31 nail art designs in one specific theme, it quickly becomes apparent that you have to shift a little bit outside of the expected for that theme if you don't want to quickly lose steam and inspiration. And so while today's mani might not scream traditional Halloween vibes, I think that the witchiness of the stamping and the depth and uniqueness of the base polish definitely helps to sort of keep it in that zone. This mani was actually inspired by this one from @manifranny on Instagram because I love love loved the way that she kept it soft and simple - but witchy!

I can definitely get in my head a lot about having to put together really intricate designs to share with you guys here on the blog, but sometimes I think some of the best designs are the really simple ones. Now, admittedly, I don't tend very often to just apply a base polish and then some stamping and call it a day, but sometimes the right combination of base polish and stamping is not only really beautiful but also has enough intricacy to really pop. It's just my opinion, but I really think today's mani is one of those ones that is simple but really pops. And... I just love it.

THIS POST IS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH PUEEN COSMETICS.

There's just... something about a craggy, spooky tree silhouette that I just absolutely love. Not even just for Halloween, I just love the look of a beautiful sky set off with that dark silhouette of a tree. All of this to say - of course I had to sneak one more creepy tree mani in here before the end of the spooky season. I mean... right? Anyway, I loved this single tree image from the Pueen Halloween Party 01 Stamping Plate so much that I decided to play around with the placement and use it on every nail!

I think one of the things I do that's sort of really weird in terms of how I think about nail art is to sort of related it to other, completely unrelated things. An example of that would be when I compare a nail art design to wallpaper, which I do kind of a lot, or in the case of today's Halloween mani - pajamas. I don't even know what it is about this type of design that makes me think of cute seasonal pajama bottoms, but I absolutely do. Maybe it's the repeating pattern that makes me think of textiles and the cuteness makes me think of PJs. Whatever it is, I like to think of this as my pajama mani of the season and that, my friends, is a peek into how my brain works. You're welcome?

Let's just get to the nails, yeah?

Graveyard nails have definitely become a bit of a Halloween staple, but it can be hard to think of new and fresh takes on how to do them. Granted, I still absolutely love the traditional night sky gradient with black graveyard silhouette stamping and I think it's become a bit of a classic for a reason, but I also find myself wanting to find new ways to do this style of nail art. Enter the Manitude x Too Cute To Spook Stamping Plate, which has a perfect selection of images to put together a very cutely creepy graveyard nail design!
