Recently, I was lucky enough to win some of the new products from Wet N Wild and I pretty much lost my mind. As affordable brands go, Wet N Wild is one of my absolute favorites because I always feel like they can be counted on to bring gorgeous pigmentation and texture to their powder products at an amazing price. For me, it can actually be a little bit hard to get my hands on Wet N Wild products (which will make the brand pretty high on my shopping list when I head to the States this summer for holiday, since it's so accessible there) so I was really excited to get to try all of these out and I'm definitely excited to give you guys my thoughts on them!

There's a pretty wide selection of products here, so keep reading for my first impressions on all of them!

Admittedly, I've been dying to try the e.l.f. Contour Kit for quite some time now, but I haven't been able to justify making an order on the e.l.f. website because of our Canadian dollar. (Hey... Doesn't "elfcosmetics.ca" have a nice ring to it? Nudge, nudge, elf!) Luckily, I recently saw this on the shelf in my local Royal Canadian Superstore recently and it pretty much went into my basket without a single moment's thought. For a long time, I didn't really contour that much - even as it was pretty much the biggest trend in makeup since... I dunno, red lipstick? I didn't want to do it poorly and look like I was sick or dirty, so I just didn't do it at all. However, now that there are more and more options at drugstore prices, I'm getting more and more into it and getting better at the actual process. Anyway, I've been using this for a couple of weeks now and I've got thoughts!

Keep reading for a closer look!

I've been wanting to try cream contouring for quite some time, but it was always a very intimidating thing to me. One of my biggest pet peeves is really badly done contour, and I figured that I could end up walking around looking like a dirt smeared insane person if I tried. (Yes, this is indeed how my mind works...) However, I decided to just bite the bullet and give it a try with the NYX Wonder Stick - a product I'd heard really good things about. I chose the Light/Medium shade, because it seemed like it was the safest bet for my skin tone. I've actually been using this really, really consistently for the past couple of weeks and I'm ready to tell you what I think!

I love new drugstore makeup time. Have I mentioned this? I'm absolutely certain that I have, since it's been rolling out like crazy lately and I'm on full drugstore makeup overload. Between new products and Shoppers Drug Mart starting to carry new brands in their stores, I'm spending a little too much time stalking their shelves lately. Anyway, one of the most anticipated spring launches for me was the new products from essence. To be honest, any new launch from essence is exciting for me, because they really are one of my favorite bargain brands. Unfortunately, some of the launches I was most excited about are Target exclusives, and therefore not available on Canadian shelves anywhere, but I did grab a few things that I was very intrigued by.

To check out what I picked up along with some first impressions and mini-reviews, keep reading!
