IPSY SPOILERS: April 2015
I remember the days when I used to try my hardest not to look at my Glam Room until after my bag had arrived. There was a certain amount of magic in opening the bag without knowing what was inside it. These days, however, I want to know what I'm getting so that I can either get excited or manage my disappointment. I think most Ipsters these days know what I'm talking about. Anyway, it's time again for a glimpse at my Glam Room as well as the other products that are going to be included in various bags this month. This is a VERY makeup heavy month, which I think will lead a lot of people to be pretty excited about their bags. I'm optimistic that I'll receive shades that I'll actually use. Again, managing expectations, right?

MY GLAM ROOM
1. Julie G Nail Color in Damsel
This shade is described as a mid-toned pink créme polish. Okay. I'm down. I've actually been wanting to try the Julie G nail polish, but I've never seen it for sale anywhere in Canada so I've been out of luck. I've heard good things and this is definitely a nail polish time of year for me, so bring it. I hope there's enough coral in this shade to make me wanna put it on... I have a complicated relationship with pink!
2. theBalm Cosmetics NUDE Dude Eyeshadow Single
I believe everyone will be receiving one of these shadows in their bags in either a shimmery plum shade or a shimmery copper shade. I'm down. Count me in. Sold. I actually do like theBalm eyeshadows (even though I just rehomed my Nude Tude palette since I was never using it) and I love that there's no shimmery champagne option with these shadows. Bring on the colours I love!
3. MicaBeauty Eye Primer
I actually like a skin-toned eye base from a pot for my shadow looks, so I'm eager to give this a try. I find that in the summer I really need to use a base under my shadows or they'll inevitably crease (not a problem I have in the winter) so this will definitely get some use if it gets the job done.
4. Gallany Cosmetics Lipstick in Petal
I can't tell from the picture how I'm going to feel about this shade. I feel like it's very on point with the caramel neutral lip shades that were inspired by that insipid teenager with the lip injections who shall not be named. Those shades are very hit and miss on me, so we'll see... I'm hoping that "Petal" implies that it'll lean more pink and be perfect for me. Gotta be optimistic, right?
5. Mullein & Sparrow Mini Lip & Cheek Tint
I'm in. It says this gives a rosy hue to lips and cheeks with a dewy finish. Now, I have texture and pores on my face, so I don't actually love dewy products, but I'll try any cream blush you throw at me for summer. Also, I like that this claims to be nourishing and protecting for lips. I find that a lot of the lip and cheek products I've used recently have been too dry to use on the lips, so if they don't work on the cheeks I'm out of luck. Optimistic here too!
Other Products This Month
There are a ton of products available this month in the bags, which I think will be great and make for a lot of really diverse bags for everyone. Here's the list, since the type is so small that it's hard to read!

That makes a total of 28 possible items in this month's bag. I sincerely hope that they chose the items in each bag in a way that will make most people happy. There's a lot of good options for a lot of different tastes, so I think that this could have the potential to be a good Ipsy month - which is good, since I think Ipsy morale has really dropped in recent months. I'm hoping it's a good one!
