FAVORITES: November 2015

by - December 02, 2015

I have to say, it's been a GREAT month for empties over here. I've been trying out a lot of new products this month, which is pretty much my favorite thing ever, and so many of the products I've been trying have been knocking it out of the park. In truth, there's only one thing on this entire list that isn't at least fairly new to me. A few of these products are slated to be reviewed in the near future, so I will keep the reviews here brief, but all of these products get the stamp of approval and recommendation from me, so check them out!

1. LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask (Review)
I still find myself reaching for this mask several nights a week and I love the results. It's not a skin miracle or anything, but it does give me incredibly hydrated, plumped skin in the morning. It's also light and easy to use, so you can just kinda whack it on right before you're about to go to sleep and it'll sink right in. This actually lives on my nightstand for that very reason.

2. Paula's Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid (Review Pending)
So this is a straight up cult product and I was dying to try it. Finally, I've been using it for the past several weeks and I'm loving the results. I find that my skin reacts really well to BHA and it helps me to deal with the uneven texture and clogged pores that are pretty much the bane of my existence. Look for a full review soon!

3. NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Nourishing Lip Balm (Review Pending)
Another cult product that I finally got around to trying and I have a feeling my winter lips are going to be incredibly thankful. This is a THICK formula, so I really only use it at night, but I give a decent layer right before bed and it hangs in throughout the night to keep me from waking up with Sahara lips. Again, a full review will be along soon!

4. essence Mountain Calling 2in1 Kajal Pencil in 02 We Love Winter
So this one is a favorite for a kind of weird reason. I was looking at the brown end of this pencil and it seemed like the type of brown that would look pretty much perfect in my brows - so I tried it. And since then I've hardly used anything else. It's a little creamier than what I have been using in my brows otherwise, but I find that it's really easy to fill them in and get a really natural look. I like this for my brows enough that I went and bought a backup!

5. Measurable Difference Baked Face & Body Highlighter in Glow (Review Pending)
I had been glancing at this at Winners for a while and finally decided to just grab it and give it a go... And I am forever glad that I did. I love the texture of it, the shade looks surprisingly good on my skin tone, and it just gives the most beautiful glowing appearance to the skin. If you've been thinking about trying this, I would say go for it!

6. Sephora Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer (Review Pending)
This is a product I'd heard some absolute raves about, so it was one of the few things that I purchased during the VIB sale (I was trying to be good!) and I'm pretty much in love with it. The applicator is a little weird, and I know that has been turning some people off, but I find it still applies fairly easily and it blends out to a beautiful appearance. Check out my full review coming soon for more!

7. Colourpop Super Shock Cheek Blush in Birthday Suit (Review)
This was love at first swipe, I swear. This is basically my perfect every day blush shade for my skin tone and I've been finding myself reaching for it a lot. I actually really like the texture of the Colourpop cheek products and I find that they blend really seamlessly and hold on to my skin really well. This is one that I think I'll actually end up going through.

8. theBalm Meet Matt(e) Hughes Long Lasting Liquid Lipstick in Committed
When I got this in my Ipsy bag, I was a little bummed at the size of the sample and not quite sure about the shade for me - but I love it! I've been keeping this in my purse and reaching for it all the time, because it applies so beautifully, is really long wearing, is a really flattering shade, and is pretty much perfect for every day. I think I need to get my hands on more of these lipsticks because I'm really, really impressed!

9. Milani Color Statement Moisture Matte Lipstick in Matte Naked (Review)
This might be my favorite drugstore lippie ever. Crazy, right? It's a perfect every day shade that I feel like goes with every single possible eye look and it's got a great matte texture that is still soft and creamy and doesn't dry out my lips. If you like this kind of neutral brown/pink nude lip shade and you haven't tried this yet... I do not know what you are doing with your life! ;)

10. Colourpop Lippie Stix in Poision (Review)
I'm pretty much amazed at just how much I love this lipstick. I bought it on a little bit of a whim, based on the recommendation of EmilyNoel83 on Youtube, but I'm so absolutely glad that I did. This is the perfect warm, deep winter red that I think anyone could wear. The texture is fantastic and the wear time is completely on point. Seriously, can't go wrong with this at all!

After writing this post, I'm feeling like November really was a FANTASTIC month for new products in my life and I'm still excited to keep using all of them. Have you tried any of these products? Do you love them as much as I do?

Keep an eye out for full reviews of some of these products in the future - because I have more raving I need to do!
