Anyone else tragically bad at remembering to apply body lotion? I admit it, I'm absolutely terrible at it. Lately, though, for various reasons including but not limited to winter-related dry skin, I've been making a concentrated effort to be a little more diligent in my body lotion routine. A perfect time to test out the Vichy Ideal Body Aqua Sorbet*, am I right? I've been using this lotion consistently for a few weeks now and I'm ready to let you guys know my thoughts!

First of all, I absolutely love the smell of this. I don't love a really intense scent on my body lotions these days, so the soft, creamy, fruity scent of this is absolutely perfect for me. I actually feel like this would smell lovely to just about anyone, because it's so light and soft and you can put it on in the morning without having to worry about it clashing with your perfume. I could gush about the smell forever, but I'll resist.

The texture of this lotion is really light, which I was a little unsure of in the beginning because I tend to favor a heavier cream for my skin, but I found that I loved the way it applied. It's really smooth to apply and sinks into the skin quite quickly, but it's still really moisturizing and left my skin feeling really silky. In the driest, coldest months of winter I suspect I might need something a little more intense, but I have a feeling that through this spring and summer this is what I will continue to reach for.

Overall, there are two reasons why I'm really happy with the Vichy Ideal Body Aqua Sorbet*. The first is the actual formula, obviously, which smells lightly delicious and does exactly what I need it to do for my skin. The second is that it's easy enough to use that even my lotion-lazy butt keeps reaching for it, applying it after every shower and before bed every night. I think that has a lot to do with the quick sink in and the silky feeling it leaves behind on my skin.
