I go to Winners a lot, I'll admit. I find it relaxing to head down there on my lunch break - there's one near work - and check out what new goodies they've got there. I definitely don't buy something every time I'm in there, but I do buy a lot of stuff there from mugs to wallets to beauty goodies. Sometimes there's very little of interest on their shelves and all of the good things have been picked over or destroyed by greedy little swatchers - Don't be that person, it's inconsiderate and selfish! - but recently I've gotten lucky quite a few times to get my hands on some incredible high end finds. Because I've been so lucky lately, I wanted to show you guys some of the things I've managed to find there!

Sometimes there's a heads up when really great finds are popping up in Winners stores - like last year when a bunch of Kat Von D products were popping up - but other times you just stumble onto something and literally can't believe it. When the Too Faced Peanut Butter & Jelly Palette first launched, it was a sensation and literally everybody wanted to get their hands on it... so of course it wasn't available here in Canada. I tried to have a friend pick it up for me, but by that point it had already sold out so I was out of luck. I couldn't believe when I saw this on the shelf, unsullied and at a price that made it absolutely irresistible.

theBalm Girls' Getaway Trio - $12.99

This is another product that I really, really wanted when it was released - I think as a holiday limited edition - and I couldn't find locally. I'd been meaning to buy a full size of the Balm Desert Blush/Bronzer as I worked through a sample size that I got, but hadn't gotten around to it, and I was really drawn to Balm Springs and Balm Beach as well, so this really was a perfect buy for me. I actually did a little bit try to talk myself out of buying this - trying to save money and all that - but ultimately I know that I would have really regretted it if I had and I've been wearing these powders pretty consistently since I picked it up.

Color Club Halo Hues Nail Polishes - $5.99each

It was actually a nail polish Facebook group that alerted me to the fact that these were popping up in Winners and Marshalls stores here in Canada and I'll admit that I turned into a little bit of a predator and hunted these down mercilessly... and then bought way too many. That said, I love this line of polishes and had been slowly collecting them from Nail Polish Canada, so to find them at such a great price locally I couldn't resist buying all of the colours that I liked. Color Club polishes are actually still cropping up at Winners stores pretty consistently, so I would definitely recommend keeping an eye out.

Too Faced Semi-Sweet Chocolate Bar Palette - $24.99

This is actually what inspired me to make this post and I think this might be one of my favorite Winners finds ever, because this was a palette that I always planned on buying but kept putting off until finally it was quietly discontinued and I thought I missed my chance. That's one thing I love about Winners - I can often find things there that I either can't find locally or that have been discontinued before I got my hands on it. Unlike other times when I've been considerate and tried to decide whether or not to buy something, as soon as I saw this on the shelf I grabbed it and was headed to the checkout because there was no way I was leaving this behind. No way.

I guess the point of this post is that I've really been having good luck at Winners recently and wanted to show you guys the kinds of things I've been finding there and why it sometimes pays to pop in there from time to time and see what they've got. Even if the last three visits have been disappointing, sometimes there's a phenomenal find. Another thing I wanted to mention is that recently I've been finding tons of high end brands. In the past couple of weeks alone on top of the brands mentioned here, I've also seen MAC, Urban Decay, Kat Von D, BITE Beauty, Stila, Hourglass and plenty more high end products on the shelves. A person could downright go mad with power!
