REVIEW: Avon ANEW Hydra Fusion Skin Care Products

by - September 11, 2018

Sometimes I get really, really excited about a new skin care launch and I just can't wait to share it with you guys - and this is definitely one of those times. Recently, Avon released their Anew Hydra Fusion line and I was incredibly excited to try it out, particularly with colder weather already starting to roll in here on the prairies. Hyaluronic Acid is one of those skin care ingredients that I think literally everyone can benefit from having in their skin care routine and it's one that has made a huge difference to the overall and continued hydration of my skin personally, so I was thrilled to see both of these products highlight the inclusion of it in the formula.

If you're unfamiliar with hyaluronic acid and what the real benefits of it are, I think you should definitely look a little bit closer at it because it's a bit of a super ingredient. Every skin type needs hydration to stay balanced and personally I've found that when my generally normal skin is out of balance I tend to get dry and oily at the same time and it causes all sorts of issues. The best thing that I've found to help hydrate my skin and keep it balanced is to use a lightweight product containing hyaluronic acid that won't overwhelm my skin, but does the job of keeping it hydrated. Personally, I think literally everyone should be using hyaluronic acid in their skin care routine, because it really is proven to have results and is actually a good ingredient for all skin types - not something I say lightly, trust me.

Avon ANEW Hydra Fusion Replenishing Serum*
Powerful, lightweight formula that deeply hydrates. Replenishing Serum with over 10,000 microbubbles, the most pure and potent form of raspberry antioxidant is released each time you apply it. Contains hyaluronic acid, a super hydrator naturally found in skin that is lost over time, it holds more than 1 000 times its weight in water so skin looks smooth, refreshed and vibrant.

When initially applying this serum, it's so incredibly lightweight that it can almost feel like water on the skin, but I've found that I can immediately see a difference in my skin as it soaks in. I instantly look fresher and more youthful. Again, not something that I say lightly. When it comes to hydrating serums, I don't think of them as transformative in the way that I think of something like a retinoid or exfoliating acid, so I'm not willing to wait 4-6 weeks to see results. I want to see them right away and with this, I was immediately impressed. As someone who really prefers a hydrating serum to a heavy moisturizer during the day, this has been a real winner for me when it comes to daytime hydration. I don't even reach for a traditional moisturizer for day time when I use this because I just don't need to. It gives the right amount of hydration without any heaviness, greasiness or even really noticeable feeling of presence on the skin. It sinks in and looks great without every having to feel like you've applied it. Beautiful!

Avon ANEW Hydra Fusion Gel Cream*

Moisturize with 72 hours of long-lasting hydration. Skin looks smoother, refreshed and plumped with a healthier glow. Contains hyaluronic acid, a super hydrator naturally found in skin that is lost over time, it holds more than 1,000 times its weight in water so skin looks smooth, refreshed and vibrant. And also raspberry antioxidant which helps defend skin from environmental stressors to keep it looking healthy and glowing.

Regular readers of the blog will know that my personal favorite formula of moisturizer is definitely a gel cream, so I was really, really excited about this product as well. If you're unfamiliar with gel cream products, they're kind of amazing. When you find a good one, you'll find that they pack a ton of hydration with a really lightweight feel. When I first tested this on the back of my hand, I was a little bit surprised by the texture. There's a richness to it though it still feels really water light and I actually found it a little bit strange, but definitely not in a bad way. It's actually kind of hard to explain, but every time I use it I'm struck by it and it makes me think that this will probably continue to be a great option for me personally as the weather gets colder and I've traditionally always switched to a moisturizer that's a little bit more richly textured. I've been using this as my night cream while I've been testing it and very much like the serum, I see a difference in the appearance of my skin as soon as I apply it. The skin looks really plump and hydrated - fairly dewy - and feels really hydrated and almost bouncy. I can't wait to really put this to the test in the colder weather, because based on what I've experienced so far I think this could be a game changer for my winter skin care routine.

I have to say, you guys, that the Anew Hydra Fusion line has been one of the most exciting Avon Anew releases that I've ever personally experienced. I really do think that absolutely everyone can see benefits to their skin when using hyaluronic products and I think that the formulas of these will likely work for a wider ranger of skin types than a lot of other products. They're just good. And they work. What more can I say? I definitley recommend picking these babies up and giving them a go, especially if you've struggled with finding products that balance a lighter weight texture with more intense hydration.
