The list of products that I want to try out is... really long, I'll admit, but there are some products on that list that I've heard such amazing things about that I just absolutely have to try them out. The CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion* is absolutely on that list. CeraVe has become an absolute go to for me in my everyday skin care routine and this is by far one of their products that I've heard the most positive things about. While it may not be the sexiest product, it's one product that I've heard overwhelmingly positive things about to the point that I really do think it's one of those cult products in the making. I don't need sexy or promises of the moon in my skin care routine, I need products that work, so I reached out and got the opportunity to finally try it out for myself.

I feel like my obsession with maintaining a healthy moisture barrier has become... pretty clear on this blog and so it's really no surprise that I'm so in love with CeraVe products. Ceramides really are the building blocks of skin and they are a powerhouse skin care ingredient that helps to maintain your skin's barrier and help your skin retain moisture while also protecting the skin from outside issues like pollution and irritants. All CeraVe products contain 3 essential ceramides that can really help to maintain your skin's barrier and keep skin looking and feeling healthy. 

Like the rest of the CeraVe line, this doesn't contain fragrance so it's suitable for the most sensitive of skin types. The texture is lightweight and almost silky when you apply it, but it does sort of feel like you're actually creating a barrier. It's hard to explain, but I feel like that feeling is really unique to the lotions in CeraVe's line. It absorbs fairly quickly into the skin and doesn't leave behind any tackiness, making it perfect for both day and night use in my opinion (just don't forget to add a separate SPF.) I actually find this to have a really great balance of really, really solid hydration with a lightweight, unfussy texture and I think it would work for a wide range of different skin types and tastes. 

Honestly, I have to say that this has really lived up to the hype for me. Now, I want to be clear, this isn't a luxurious moisturizer that's going to give you an experience when you apply it - and I don't really want it to be. This is an absolute workhorse moisturizer that prioritizes hydrating and protecting skin to help your skin look its best without extra bells and whistles. Since I've been testing this out, I've actually recommended it to several people in my life who struggle with finding a moisturizer that isn't going to irritate their sensitive skin or break them out and I have a feeling I'll keep recommending it. 

Seriously, I recommend this really, really highly if you're in the market for a gentle moisturizer that really gets the job done without being overwhelming or irritating to the skin. Like I said, for day or night!
