HOLIDAY GIFT WISHLIST PART 1 - Beauty Gifts

by - November 18, 2014

So... Let's be honest... This post is basically an excuse for me to fantasy online shop for my own gifts, most of which I will not receive, but also an opportunity to make suggestions for those of you who might be picking up gifts for a beauty obsessed friend or family member this year. This really is the most wonderful time of year for us beauty lovers because companies far and wide are putting together their gift and value sets, usually expertly curated and greatly discounted. It's admittedly pretty hard to keep one's self from ordering them all for her hoardy little self. And by "one", I clearly mean me.

So without further adieu, keep reading for a look at my picks for Palettes, Value Sets, and Stocking Stuffers. Just as a warning, some of the stocking stuffers might seem a little bit spendy, but I tried to keep them all small and $30 or under.

PALETTES AND VALUE SETS

GLAMGLOW GLAMTASTIC Facial Set - Retail $65
"A four-piece collection of GLAMGLOW’s award-winning mud treatment masks for smooth, healthy-looking skin."

This is such a cute little gift set with a selection of different GlamGlow masks to try and I feel like I would just have a lot of fun playing with it.

tarte Pin Up Girl Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush Palette - Retail $50
"An exclusive blush set with five brand-new, Amazonian clay-infused blushes and two wearable hair pins—all encased inside of a Parisian-inspired clutch."

I want this so badly. The tarte Amazonian Clay blushes are some of my absolute favorite and I've swatched this palette in store and the quality of these is just as on point as ever. Plus, how cute is the little clutch?

Sephora Favorites Skin Wonderland - Retail $70
"An eleven-piece kit that includes oils, cleansers, creams, and treatments to pamper and address a wide range of skin needs."

I picked up a Sephora Favorites Beauty Oils kit last year and it absolutely blew my mind. This kit contains a few of the same items as well as few others that I really enjoy or have been dying to try. I have to say that I really do love the Sephora Favorites kits because they always seem to be really well curated.

Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette - Retail $67
"A limited-edition blush palette with three shades of Ambient Lighting Blush for seamless, soft-focus, and multidimensional color."

Do I even need to say anything? Do I? This blush palette is beyond stunning and I drool over it every time I even see a picture of it. It's just absolutely gorgeous tops to tails... I hope it ends up in the permanent collection like the Ambient Lighting Palette did after it was released in LE last holiday season.

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlights - Retail $30
"A portable liquid highlighter than spotlights your features for a natural-looking glow."

I swatched these recently in store and I really, really liked the finish on them. I'm actually not usually a fan of a cream highlight... but I feel like I should start mixing some into my foundation to give my face a little bit of a healthy glow and these are really, really beautiful.

L'Occitane Delicious Almond Set - Retail $71
"An indulgent five-piece collection for satiny-smooth skin, delicately scented skin."

Have I talked enough about how much I love the L'Occitane Almond collection yet? Because if not, I can definitely talk for hours about how much I love it. This set would make me a very, very happy kitten who wouldn't stop sniffing herself after the shower. So. Amusement for all?

Sephora Favorites Lash Stash - Retail $54
"An 11-piece set of our favorite formulas that stretch, volumize, and enhance lashes—to wands that curl and lift to formulas that prime lashes—with a double-ended mascara and primer and one deluxe-size, Sephora Collection Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover."

I received last year's Lash Stash as a Christmas present from my mom last Christmas and I'm literally still working my way through it. This really is an amazing gift for absolutely any makeup lover, because it basically takes care of all of her mascara needs for the coming year as long as you resist the urge to try them all out as soon as you get them. And trust me, it's hard. Also, I like that they included the Sephora eye makeup remover this year, because it seriously is a good one.

tarte Deam Come Hue 12-Piece Collectors Set - Retail $210.00
"This giftable, hand-picked collection from tarte allows you to create enduring and elegant, blush and lip looks. In celebration of the award-winning and celebrity favorite lip and cheek products, this exclusive, 12-piece collector’s set is the perfect addition to any makeup lover’s beauty wardrobe."

So... The only way I'm going to get this set is if I order it for myself, but it's still on my wishlist because... I wish that I could justify the hit to my credit card. Like I said above, I love the Amazonian clay blushes and I also really enjoy the Lipsurgence crayons, so this set is super dreamy to me. Pretty please, can I just win the lottery? How many times does any given makeup junkie make that wish when they walk into Sephora or browse the site? Probably most.

NUDE Skincare Essential Skin Nutrition Set - Retail $110
"An omega-rich trio that includes carefully-developed formulas to protect skin against visible signs of aging, provide hydration, and create luminosity."

I absolutely love the NUDE Pro Genius Treatment Oil. I mean that very, very sincerely. When I apply that product in my nighttime skin care routine, my skin looks absolutely gorgeous the next morning. Unfailingly. This trio contains that oil as well as two other products at what is actually a really incredible value. GIVE IT TO ME NOW.

BEAUTY STOCKING STUFFERS

Caudalie Divine Oil Ornament - Retail $10
"A fun and festive gift-wrapped ornament for the Divine Oil devotee, featuring the iconic Caudalie dry oil skincare and fragrance blend."

Obviously this product is iconic and this small size is great for a little treat for any beauty lover. One thing that I always think when it comes to beauty gifts is that you can rarely go wrong with a cult favorite.

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Nail Lacquer in Suspiria - Retail $12
"A nail lacquer in a professional formulation and modern color palette."

Okay, I admit it... I've been coveting this shade for months. Seriously, come summertime all I want to put on my nails is this kind of neon grape shade. I love it and I this one gets me every time.

Fresh Seaberry Moisturizing Face Oil Ornament - Retail $22
"A precious blend of pure oils packed with omegas to preserve a youthful appearance, housed in a festive holiday ornament to dangle from the tree."

So... I haven't actually tried this but I've wanted to and this little ornament is just too cute for words. That really is the only reason it's on this list. The combination of coveting and cuteness is too much to bear.

Kat Von D The Star Studded Look - Retail $24
"A limited-edition kit of three deluxe-size favorites for eyes and lips."

Recently I swatched the Kat Von D Trooper liquid eyeliner and... I need it in my life. I really do. I mean, I talked myself out of it because there's nothing wrong with the liquid eyeliner I'm using right now and those babies dry up... but I need it. Also, I want to try this mascara and that lipstick looks beautiful. This set is just win win win, if you ask me.

Beauty Blender Pro - Retail $26
"An edgeless, non-disposable, high-definition cosmetic sponge applicator made especially for professionals."

So... confession... I've never tried a BeautyBlender. Ever. I had a dupe that I was told was similar and recently I've been loving the Real Techniques complexion sponge, but I think it's about time that I try a real BeautyBlender. And I want it in black because the combination of foundation makeup and the pink of the classic BeautyBlender makes me think of a disease and that isn't cute. At all.

Caudalie Beauty Elixir Ornament - Retail $19
"An iconic travel-size Beauty Elixir in fun and festive holiday ornament gift wrapping."

This is another one of those cult products that I think any beauty girl would love to find in her stocking or hanging on the tree. What else can I really say? You know, other than GIVE IT TO ME NOW.

L'Occitane Almond Indulgence Duo - Retail $12
"An indulgent almond body duo to cleanse, soften, and smooth skin."

Teeeeeeeeeeeeeeeny tiny Almond duo. I mean. Again we're back to Covet and Cute... but there's a dash of obsessed added in there as well. I'm seriously when I tell you that if you haven't tried or even just smelled this L'Occitane products, you have to. Do it now. Run out and just take a good long whiff. You're welcome.

Too Faced Melted Kisses Set - Retail $30
"A set of four deluxe, Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticks in lasting, stunning shades."

I mean. It's a miracle that I haven't bought this for myself already, but I'm trying to be good. I've been dying to try these liquid lipsticks though and the swatches are just absolutely beautiful. How can you go wrong, really? Giveittomenow?

Bliss Lemony Trinkets Set - Retail $13
"A magnificent mini duo of spa-inspired lemon and sage bath and body blends for clean, smooth skin."

Adorable, right? Completely adorable. This is kind of a perfect little stocking stuffer type product because it's cute and easy and fairly universal. I don't generally advocate big baskets of lotions and bath stuff for Christmas unless you're going high end (I can has Laura Mercier??) but little additions like this are sweet and much less likely to end up in a goo hoard drawer unused.

So there you have it, my little Sephora Beauty Gift Wishlist in all its glory. If I had $895 that I could spend whimsically, this is what I'd buy. So. There's that! Check back later this week for my non-beauty holiday wishlist!

What's on your holiday wishlist this year?

 XO.
