MAKEUP LOOK: Soft & Simple Autumn Peach

by - September 19, 2016

So I've recently decided that I want to do more makeup looks here on the blog and I did this look over the weekend that I felt was a perfect start to this. Generally fall makeup is heavy and smoky and vampy - and I love it - but I tend to have days where I want to keep everything fresh and light and I feel like this is a great look for transitioning from summer into fall with warm shades all over the face, but still a bright, fresh look to both the skin and the eyes. I also tried to use a lot of products that had Peach in the name and I think it came together really beautifully!

For a closer look at the look as well as the products that I used, keep reading!

As you can see, everything is really soft with this look and I'm pulling a lot on the peachiness that's left in my hair from my summer adventure in having a coral/pink balayage. I didn't want anything to have too much depth or contour, so I kept everything really soft and bright.

My base was pretty simple for this look. I started with clean, moisturized skin and I used a combination of the Quo Age Excellence Foundation and the Maybelinne FIT Me Matte + Poreless Foundation, which gives me a long lasting base with just a hint of glow. I concealed my undereyes with the Maybelline FIT Me Concealer and then I set everything with the Sonia Kashuk Chic Luminosity Glow Powder.

On the eyes, I did a simple eye look that started with the essence Cosmetics 2 in 1 Eyeshadow and Liner in Peach Perfect all over the lid up to the crease as a base. Next, I used the Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette to finish the eye look. First, I packed Luscious (by far my favorite shade in the palette) all over the inner two third's of the lid. Next, I used Georgia in the outer third of the lid and through the crease to add just a little bit of transition there as well as along the lower lash line for some light definition. Finally, I used Candied Peach on the edges of where I placed Georgia to bring a little bit more depth and peachiness to the look. Super simple and easy, but very effective, I think. I finished the eyes with a couple of coats of L'Oreal Telescopic Shocking Extensions mascara, which is a discontinued favorite of mine.

As for the rest of my face.... I very lightly applied my Physician's Formula Butter Bronzer to the perimeter of my face to give just a little bit of dimension and warmth to the skin. I think applied my Colourpop Super Shock Cheek Highlighter in Smokin' Whistles to the tops of my cheekbones and my cupid's bow and blended it out with my foundation brush to give a really soft glow. I chose this highlighter because I feel like there is a hint of peachiness to the tone. For blush, I went with essence Silky Touch Blush in Autumn Peach, which I think is the perfect peach for fall because it's got some real warmth but still gives a natural look to the cheeks. Finally, for the lips, I used the essence Lip Liner in In The Nude to line my lips and filled them in with Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in Shade 43, which is a great go to peachy nude shade that I really like with my skin tone.

And there you have it, my current favorite weekend makeup look for fall. I think it's a great option for when you want to keep everything light and glowy, but you want to add some warmth to your skin for fall.

I'd love to hear what you guys think about my starting to do makeup looks here on the blog! Since this is really my first post like this, I think I will need a little bit of refining, but I'm excited to feature more of the kind of makeup I do on the day to day! Let me know what you think in the comments!
