HALLOWEEN NAIL ART: Bright & Creepy Lime Green Spiders Nails
So the thing is... I know that spiderwebs are getting a LOT of play over the course of this month, but I really just can't seem to help myself. Not only so I just love them in general, but I also find them really versatile as far as creating different Halloween design. For today's mani, I kept it really simple and straightforward but also... real creepy and Halloween-y, if you ask me. Anyway, let's just get to the nails, shall we?

As soon as I decided I wanted to do this mani - all over spiderwebs with some scattered spiders, that is - I pretty much knew exactly what polishes I wanted to use for the base because I had used them once before for a completely different design. I'm so, so very glad that I picked up Bright Side from the Revlon HD Snap nail polish range because it's pretty stunning, I must say. It's this really bright acid green that definitely, for me, stands out at the drugstore. It's also in a really solid formula. Above and beyond that, though, I'm a little bit obsessed with pairing Bright Side with a layer of Holo Taco's Solar Unicorn Skin, because the effect is just really stunning and gives a lot of dimension and texture without feeling overworked.
For this mani, I started with two coats of Bright Side to all of my nails and then followed with one coat of Solar Unicorn Skin and let them dry down completely.
For the stamping, I wanted to keep it really straightforward and simple, but I'm me so that also meant grabbing for two different stamping plates to create the look that I was going for. First, I went in with a white stamping polish and this full coverage spiderweb image from the Whats Up Nails B054 stamping plate and applied it to all of my nails, alternating the direction I placed the image to break up the design. Next, I grabbed for the Whats Up Nails A012 stamping plate and used three different spider images, applying two spiders to each nail in varying sizes and placement. Like I said, pretty straightforward.
Once I was happy with my stamping, I sealed it in with a layer of nail art top coat before finishing with a generous layer of glossy top coat for shine and volume. And voila!

I mean, what more can I say that hasn't been said. This is just a classic Halloween design, definitely in the bright category, but still bringing the creepiness with those spiders that make me feel creepy crawly if I think too much about them. Love it!
