When it came to the color story for this mani, it was really led by the stamping polish I used for the trees. I ended up deciding to pair two polishes from Color Club - Follow Me, a deep smoky purple, and Creepin' It Real, a vampy, cool toned blue. On my pinkie and thumb, I applied two coats of Follow Me. On my pointer finger, I applied two coats of Creepin' It Real. And finally, on my middle and ring fingers, I did an angled gradient of the two shades, flipping the sponge on each nail to add a little bit of subtle dimension.

I also decided that I wanted to add a speckled top coat, so I applied one coat of Julep's Max, a black and white multi-sized glitter topper, to all of my nails before I moved onto the stamping. 

For the stamping, I knew that the lynch pin of the design was going to be the tree, but I also knew that I was going to want something to fill in the dead space that there would be no tree. Ultimately, I decided to add a single bat and a couple of stars to each nail, though I will admit that those elements did end up being a little bit lower contrast than I had hoped. Still, I love how it came together - and I also really love how the three stamping polishes I used play with both each other and the gradient base.

Once I was happy with the design, I sealed it in with a no smudge top coat and then finished with a matte top coat to bring down the shine and give everything a smooth finish. And voila!
