Prairie Beauty

As I mentioned in my review of the Pixi Skintreats Multi-Masking Medley, I've been wanting to try out more Pixi Skintreats products and decided to pick up some sets over the holiday season to try out. I really wanted to try out the Rose Cream Cleanser quite specifically because cleansing is seriously my favorite part of my skin care routine and I'm constantly looking for the perfect cream cleanser. Seriously, this is a quest for me and though I have many I love I'm always into trying another one... and I just had a feeling, you know? I picked up this pair in a set together and put them to work right away.

Anyway, to check out my review of the Pixi Rose Cream Cleanser and Rose Tonic, keep reading!

I've had really, really good luck with Pixi Skintreats products in the past - the Pixi x Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse continues to be a favorite in my collection - and I've been wanting to try more for ages but just hadn't gotten around to it until this holiday season brought some sets to my local Shoppers Drug Mart. I'd been hearing a ton recently about the Pixi Rose Flash Balm, so when I saw the Pixi Skintreats Multi-Masking Medley contained that product along with two others, I was sold and I picked it up to try out.

I have to admit, I'm not a huge fan of collaborations with influencers in the beauty community and I've basically decided that I won't buy them, though there are a couple of exceptions to that. The most glaring exception, which is a product that I knew I absolutely HAD. TO. HAVE. as soon as it was announced was the Pixi + Caroline Hirons Double Cleanse. It took forever to come to Canada, and I was about ready to beg someone to pick me up one in the UK and ship to it to me, but I finally found it on the shelf in my local drugstore, so I picked it up immediately and got to testing.

Honestly, you guys, I feel like I need to do a whole ode to facial mists posts, because this summer they have become a little bit of an obsession for me and I basically want to get my hands on any and every mist out there to try it out. Not makeup setting sprays, that's a whole different animal and one that hasn't ever really gotten my obsession. No, a mist. A beautiful, light dusting of liquid that I can hit my skin with throughout the day, with or without makeup, that makes my skin feel lovely. Without delving too, too far into purple prose about my current mist obsession, let's talk about one, shall we?

I have a problem... I see these things that I'm not going to have the option of buying anymore and I can't seem to help myself. Oddly enough, I picked this up on a little jaunt to Target on my lunch break, and when I got back and sat down to enjoy a little bit of Youtube while I finished up said lunch break, I was met with a tutorial using this palette. I felt like that cosmically justified the purchase, right? The universe was telling me it was money well spent, right? Anyway, I've used this palette a few times now and I'm ready to give my thoughts.

Keep reading for a closer look and review of this palette.

I swear, it was an accident! I popped into Target last night to grab a couple of soup bowls on liquidation because I had seen some cute stoneware ones there that work fairly nicely with our dishes, and I had to meander over to the beauty section just to see what was up... and, if I'm honest, to hem and haw over whether or not I wanted to pick up the Sonia Kashuk No. 17 brush. I've been checking it out every time I've been in there, but I hadn't picked it up yet. Anyway, when I got over to the beauty section, I found that they had all of these boxes absolutely full of Sonia Kashuk and Pixi products and a lot of them were even more discounted than all of the other makeup, so of course I went a little bit mad with shopping power. (I think I really need a no buy... maybe for March....) I figured I would make this post so that people who might be interested can check and see if their Target has some of this boxes of products up for offer. Also, I'll list some of the other products that they had boxes full of that I didn't pick up at the end of this post.

Keep reading to take a look at what I picked up.
