HALLOWEEN NAIL ART: Delicate Purple Spiderwebs Nails

by - October 06, 2023

I'm someone who generally doesn't like to use more than one stamping plate for a mani, but as soon as I saw the new Uberchic Halloween 09 plate, I knew that I wanted to pair this really delicate full cover spiderweb image with another delicate spiderweb image from the KADS Halloween 008 plate. I also decided to pair it with one of the new limited edition Scooby Doo polishes from Wet N Wild, which I absolutely had to pick up because I really, really love Scooby Doo to a degree that I think might surprise some people. Anyway, I put it all together and I'm really happy with how it came out.

So as I said, I picked up the trio of Scooby Doo polishes from Wet N Wild (which were a little bit overpriced in my opinion, but surprisingly good quality) and I knew I had to use this purple. If ever there was a true Halloween purple, it would definitely be this one. It hits a really perfect sweet spot as far as brightness and depth. Also, it applied really smoothly and dried in absolutely no time flat - so I'm a huge fan of that.

I started by applying two coats of So Franken Cute and then decided that I wanted some sort of topper to add some texture to the background. I ended up grabbing for ILNP's Paradox (H), which is an ultra chrome flake topper that includes fine holographic glitter. It's STUNNING. I added one coat of Paradox (H) to all of my nails and let that dry before I moved onto my stamping.

Like I said in the intro to this post, as soon as I saw the full cover image from the Uberchic plate, I knew I wanted to pair it with the smaller image from the KADS plate. I decided that I wanted to use the full cover image for my middle two nails as well as my thumb and then the smaller image on my pointer and pinkie fingers. I went with a pearl white stamping polish, which I personally think performs a little bit more delicately than a silver, and applied the images as planned to each of my nails.

Once I was happy with my design, I sealed it in with a nail art top coat and then finished with a matte top coat to bring down the shine. And voila!

Honestly, I was really specific about the choices of products I ended up using for this mani, but I'm so glad I was because I really, really love how it turned out. The combination of the purple base polish with that flakie topper and the matte finish is just absolutely giving me life. Love!
