I have to say, essence is probably one of my absolute favorite brands in the drugstore for some things, so I'm always willing to try out their new products looking for the golden gems - and I find them fairly often. For quite a while now, the brand has had their I ❤ Stage Eyeshadow Base, but they've more recently been adding to the collection, first with the I ❤ Colour Intensifying Eyeshadow Base and most recently with the I ❤ Strobing Eyeshadow Base. I decided that I wanted to go through all three of them and talk about the differences I've found between the three and let you guys know my personal favorite!

When it came to choosing eyeshadow favorites for 2016, I have to admit that there were some absolute knee jerk favorites and some that required a little bit more thought. I don't think I'm the most adventurous person when it comes to my eye looks, but I've definitely been stepping out of my comfort zone in the past year and my personal style of makeup has been evolving. A lot of the products I chose for this category are ones that are attached to favorite go to looks, because I think the things that I tend to go back to are all for good reason.

So let's get going on the favorites, shall we?

I have to admit just how surprised I was that blinc made products other than their flagship mascara, which I've used in the past and really enjoyed. I feel like I should have known that they had a whole line of eye products, but really didn't. So when I got the opportunity to try out some of their products in the Discovery Collection*, I was really excited to see what they had to offer.

Here we go with Part 2 of the most epic Favorites series I've ever done. This was actually one of the hardest as well, because I wanted to have a good selection of different products and it was hard to narrow down. I love eye makeup. It was absolutely the first type of product that I started collecting and I had to admit that my collection is kind of ridiculous. Shadows alone take up 2 drawers. But I digress. I decided to try and get as wide a selection of types of products as I could for this post and still keep it to a Top 5, so I hope you enjoy!
