While Zoe is on vacation in warmer climes, I had the opportunity to put together a Guest Post over on Writing Whimsy! The post is all about my favorite products that are worth the cost of shipping to Canada, since all of us Canadian beauty lovers know that can be a pain and a half. So head over to Writing Whimsy now and check out the products that I would absolutely give my stamp of approval, with products from the US, the UK, and South Korea!
Here we go with Part 2 of the most epic Favorites series I've ever done. This was actually one of the hardest as well, because I wanted to have a good selection of different products and it was hard to narrow down. I love eye makeup. It was absolutely the first type of product that I started collecting and I had to admit that my collection is kind of ridiculous. Shadows alone take up 2 drawers. But I digress. I decided to try and get as wide a selection of types of products as I could for this post and still keep it to a Top 5, so I hope you enjoy!

I have to admit, I'm just kind of dipping my toes into the pool of highlighting. Until recently, I wasn't entirely sure about the practice, because I'd tried so many product that highlighted the texture imperfections in my skin more than anything else, but more and more I'm realizing how great highlighted skin looks when you have the right products. Of course, this means (as an unrepentant makeup junkie) that I'm on the hunt for more and more highlight products that get the job done for me, which is why I decided to pick up this highlighter from Freedom Makeup London, of course. Like everything else from this brand, this came at a great price point, so how could I resist?

Have I been sneaky about the fact that I'm not the hugest fan of contour? I don't really think that I have. I think my problem with contour is that I've seen so much of it done incredibly badly and I just never wanted to be one of those people. I've done a little bit, but anytime I've used ashy contour shades it just ended up looking dirty and old so I kind of gave up. I definitely wasn't interested in investing in one of the higher end contour kits, since it was a makeup trend that I wasn't really into. However, for $6.86CAD, I couldn't resist trying out the Freedom Makeup London Pro Contour Kit in Fair. I mean... Could I? So anyway, I've been using this pretty much every day since I got it and I think I might finally be on the contour bandwagon - Just in time for STROBING, because I'm behind on every trend!

Recently I realized that I have a lot of single eyeshadows that don't get a lot of use in my collection, so I've been trying to reach for them more and more often... and of course, I just had to add another 5 new ones to the collection because, you know, reviews and stuff. Ahem. I kind of wish I had ordered the entire collection of these eyeshadows when they first launched, because they're such a great price point - especially considering the size of the pan! Each of these pans contains 2g of product, which is the same size as the Make Up For Ever artist shadows, just for reference. Each shadow comes packaged in a single pan, but can be depotted for use in a Z-Palette - which is what I plan to do once I pick up some more of these.

One of the products I was most excited about from my recent Freedom Makeup London haul is the Pro 12 Audacious 3 palette. I've been pretty obsessed with doing rosy neutral eye looks lately, so this palette seemed absolutely perfect for my purposes and, of course, it was one of the first things in my basket. The cost of this palette is just insanity. It ended up costing me $7.84 CAD, which is just about as affordable a palette as you can get, really. I've been really impressed with the quality and performance of Makeup Revolution eyeshadows, so I had high hopes for this one... but how did it stack up to what I was hoping for? You'll have to keep reading to find out!
