FAVORITES: March 2016

by - April 04, 2016

So... I'm a little late this month, but I actually wasn't really sure what my favorites were this month until I had a minute to sit down and really think about what I've been using and loving. Most months it's kind of a knee jerk, but this has been another month of a lot of new products rotating though my routine, which makes it a little harder. If you're interested in reading about the products that I've tried out this month without full reviews, check back tomorrow for a whole post dedicated to them!

For now, though, keep reading to check out my favorite products of March 2016!

Simple Micellar Make-Up Remover Wipes* (Full Review)
These were definitely a favorite this month because I was surprised at how much I like them and how often I reached for them. I tend to leave my makeup on until bedtime, even though it ends up looking terrible by that point, so lately I've been trying to take it off right after work if I'm planning on spending the evening in and these have been my go to for that. They're extremely gentle but also effective and I just can't get enough of them. Also, love these for taking off swatches, since I tend to do them in batches and some other cleansing cloths can end up leaving the skin really sensitive.

Indeed Labs Vitamin C24* (Full Review)
I've continued to use this as a far of my daily skincare routine since I reviewed it and I continue to absolutely love it. I really find this incredibly brightening for my skin and I think it just really helps to maintain the overall appearance of the skin, keeping it looking healthy. It's incredibly difficult for me to review serums beyond how they make my skin look and feel as a whole, but this one really makes my skin look and feel fantastic.

Hard Candy Sheer Envy Hydrating Primer Mist (Full Review)
I still completely love this product, I really do. I love the smell of it, I love how hydrating it is to my skin, and I love how makeup applies over it. This isn't a primer that's going to prolong the wear of your makeup, in my experience, but it does make your makeup apply beautifully on the skin. Only problem I really have with it is that my bottle has started leaking... which is serious bummer, but worth it for the product.

City Color Matte Blush
So this product doesn't have a shade name, because I got it in a kit at Winners and the City Color sets there are specially packaged for Winners, I believe. Anyway, this is a beautiful matte pinky mauve blush that looks really pretty and natural on my fair skin and I love it. It's smooth and creamy in texture and really pigmented, so you can easily blend a little over the cheeks for a soft look or build it a little for more punch. If you haven't tried the City Color Matte Blushes yet, they're really worth a pick up.
NYX Slide On Glide On Lip Liner in Nude Suede Shoes
It just occurred to me as I was writing this that I think this lip liner might have been in my favorites last month - Oops! But the thing is, I've been reaching for it almost every day, so it continues to be a genuine favorite. It's a perfect nude shade that works with a lot of different tones of nude and it applies really opaque and creamy and has great lasting power. I absolutely need more shades of this.

the original beautyblender
This kind of seems like a weird thing to have in my favorites, but I'd been using brushes pretty much exclusively until the past couple of weeks and now I'm back on the beautyblender train. It's the best sponge on the market, as ar as I'm concerned, and I find that when I apply my setting powder with a damp beauty blender it really stays put and looks flawless unlike anything else.

Vera Mona Eyeshadow in Clover
It's very possible that this shadow singlehandedly convinced me to pick up the Too Faced Sweet Peach palette. I'm finding myself really drawn towards soft, warm peachy eye looks lately and it's all owing to this shadow. It gives a really beautiful punch on the lid if you pack it on, but can also just give a soft wash of colour. I love love love everything about this and I think I need to get my hands on the Vera Mona palette ASAP.

Essie Millionails Treatment* (Full Review)
I'M OBSESSED WITH THIS STUFF!!! I swear, this is doing wonders for my nails, which were pretty much ravaged by the dry prairie winter. Since I started using it, my nails are a lot stronger and they're growing like crazy. I can't say enough good things about what this has done for my nails and I have a feeling I'll continue to go through these like crazy.

blinc Eye Shadow Primer in Light Tone (Full Review)
I've been using this eye primer pretty much every day and I find that it really helps to keep my eyeshadow in place all day long without getting muddy or messy at the end of the day. I also really like that it has a doe foot applicator, because I find it really easy to apply just the right amount of product.

NUDESTIX Magnetic Eye Color in Lilith (Full Review)
The past couple of weeks I've been really into a bright lid with a taupey cut crease and this is my favorite base for that kind of look. I feel like this gives a lot of brightness to the lid and keeps everything looking beautiful all day. I definitely want to get some more of these pencils, because I really think they're great.

Benefit Rollerlash Mascara
So I'm a little behind on trying this mascara, but I absolutely get why so many people love it now. I've pretty much completely fallen in love with it now too. It really does give amazing curl to the lashes without having to use a lash curler, I was amazed. It also gives them a lot of fluttery looking volume, which I love. I honestly don't think I've loved a mascara this much in a very long time. I've got the travel size, but I'll be picking up a full size in the future.

This feels like kind of a weird month of favorites for me, but I really do love each and every product and I've been reaching for each of them pretty consistenty throughout the month even though I've been trying so many new products this month!

Thanks for reading! I'd love to hear in the comments what you've been loving this month!
