When it comes to skin care, one of the most important and beneficial lessons that I've learned is the importance of a good cleansing routine that works with your skin. For me, I've found that a double cleanse with an oil based cleanser to first remove makeup, sunscreen and buildup followed by a creamy or foaming cleanser to effectively cleanse the skin itself works the best to keep my skin healthy, balanced, and generally behaving. Recently, I've had the opportunity to test out the Juno & Co Clean 10 Cleansing Balm* and I'm super excited to share my review of it with you guys!

I have to admit, I picked up the Versed Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm months ago, but since 2020 completely murdered my desire to wear makeup I spent months skipping my double cleansing routine and sticking to a single cleanse. However, I'm back to using a cleansing balm to remove my makeup and SPF at the end of the day and I've finally been reaching for this enough to give a full review. I'm a HUGE fan of a cleansing balm and I tend to feel like I just must get my hands on any cleansing balm available at my local drugstore, so when Shoppers Drug Mart started carrying Versed products this was the first thing on my mind to pick up.

When the price tags for the new Cake Beauty skin care products started going up at my local Shoppers Drug Mart, they didn't have all of the products to go with them but I started scoping them out. The most exciting for me? Is anyone surprised that it was the Cake Beauty Gelato Cleansing Balm? I'm constantly on the hunt for more drugstore cleansing balms and on top of being at a great price point, it's from a brand that I've consistently enjoyed for the past few years. I have to say... it isn't what I was expecting, so if you're curious about it I would definitely encourage you to read on.

I suspect that I might be the only weirdo I know who gets really, really excited about cleanser. They may be the most boring part of a skin care routine for some people, but (as I've said about a million times before) I think that a good cleansing routine can completely change the state of your skin - and it has for mine. That passion about cleansing combined with my love of the belif True Creams (yes, both of them) made getting the chance to try out the belif Aqua Bomb Jelly Cleanser* a genuinely exciting experience. Seriously, I couldn't wait to try it out and I had very, very heightened expectations for this product.

Lately, I've been doing a thing whenever I hear or see that there are going to be new cleansing balms launching in Canadian stores... I stalk them. Seriously, we have so few options on shelves here and they're something that I use every day and love immensely that I just absolutely can't wait to get my hands on them. Such was definitely the case with the Indeed Labs Watermelon Melting Balm, which I had to go to four Shoppers Drug Mart locations to finally get my hands on. I've actually been using this for a couple of months now and I'm really excited to share my review!

Have I sung the song of my love for cleansing enough yet here on the blog? Honestly, I feel like I might be becoming a little bit tedious at this point, but I am... basically obsessed with cleanser these days and the shelf in my bathroom has gotten a little bit ridiculous with the number of them that I have on hand for whichever cleanser I think my skin needs at any given moment. Recently, I was lucky enough to get to add the Dermalogica UltraCalming Cleanser* to that shelf and I'm super, super excited to share my review of it with you guys today! This is one of those long time hero products from Dermalogica, one that a lot of people love and that has amazing reviews across the board, so of course I was dying to try it out.

Obviously I'm a huge cleanser junkie - I attribute a solid cleansing routine using products that are right for me with really fundamentally changing the way my skin behaves - but my tastes don't tend to run with a lot of what's in the drugstore these days (nothing has been able to beat out a certain drugstore favorite of mine. Ahem...) But recently, I noticed the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Gel Wash on the shelves in a local store and I was intrigued enough to pick it up. I quite enjoyed the Garnier SkinActive All-In-One Cleansing Water back when I used micellar water regularly and I was curious as to how their Cleansing Gel Wash would actually work as a first cleanse in the evening to remove makeup.

Hey guys! I've actually been using this product for months now and I went back and forth on whether or not to review it here on the blog, but since I haven't really seen reviews of this elsewhere I figured it would be worthwhile to give my thoughts. Finding a good, affordable cleansing balm can still be really difficult and I'm always on the hunt to try out the different formulas that are available in the drugstore, which is why I picked up the No7 Radiant Results Nourishing Cleansing Balm. This tub is basically gigantic and this 125ml size retails for $14CAD at Shoppers Drug Mart here in Canada. Really, how could I not try it out?

Hey guys! ACURE is one of those brands that I used to have a lot of in my collection, but I just kind of... got distracted. Also, long time readers of the blog will know that I'm still mourning the discontinuation of the ACURE The Magical Wonderfluff, which was probably my all time favorite overnight mask, so I might have been a little bit salty at them for taking it away from me. That being said, I've recently been on a bit of a cleanser obsession and I've really been wanting to try out different types of formulas. I'm not entirely sure what possessed me to pick up the ACURE Incredibly Clear Charcoal Lemonade Cleanser, since it's not the type of product I'd usually gravitate towards, most notably because it's not really intended for my skin type, but... I did it!

Are you sick of me talking about how much I love cleansing yet? Because man do I love cleansing. Earlier this year I finally decided to order a full size Farmacy Green Clean Makeup Meltaway Cleansing Balm, which resided on my wishlist for ages but I'd never picked up a full size of. I had tried a small sample size, which I enjoyed, but I really didn't feel like that gave me enough time to really put together a review, so now I really feel ready to give you guys my full review!

You should see the shelf in my bathroom. I mean, really... You should see the shelf in my bathroom. I keep most of my skin care at my vanity to protect delicate actives from heat and steam, but I do keep my cleansers in the bathroom and I have A LOT of them. I would even hazard to say that I'm becoming a bit of a cleansing junkie and I tend to choose my cleansers based on how my skin is behaving and what I feel like it really needs. Recently, I added the Anew Platinum Cream Cleanser* to the rotation.

For my thoughts on this cleanser and how it fits into my collection, keep reading!

Do you ever just peruse the Sephora website to see if you can find something exciting that you've never seen before? I do! In fact, I'm always on the hunt for something that hasn't gotten much attention on social media, because I really like to find those hidden gems. Recently, Sephora Collection released some new skin care products that are actually really, really affordable and I was definitely interested. I decided to pick up the Coconut Water Micellar Cleansing Milk and the Coconut Water Lip Balm to start, keeping the other versions in mind.

Admittedly, I'm a bit of a skin care geek these days. Likely, this is because as I learn more and more when it comes to taking care of my skin, both in theory and in reality what's best for my personal skin type and needs, I see genuine improvement in my skin. Recently, MyChelle Dermaceuticals moved into the Canadian market and I had the opportunity to try out a few of their products - and I have to tell you guys that I am SUPER impressed overall with everything that I tried, which is rare for me as I get more and more aware of exactly what works for my skin and more picky as a result.

To hear more about the products that I tried out, keep reading!

In the past couple of years, I've gotten really into skin care and I've seen an incredible difference in both the look and feel of my skin, but also in how it behaves. Lately, my obsession has been with cleansing. I never really gave much thought to which cleanser I was using and what it was doing to my skin, because I always just figured it was getting me clean and then the real work started. What I've learned, though, is that cleansing - specifically, using a cleanser that's right for your skin - is a big part of your skin care routine and really impacts how your skin behaves. Recently, I've been trying out the SIBU Sea Berry Therapy Polishing Facial Cleanser* and the Exfoliating Face & Body Scrub*, and I'm excited to tell you guys all about them!

If you've been reading this blog for a while, you'll know that VICHY is actually a favorite skin care brand of mine. I feel like their products are affordable, effective, widely available, and there's something for pretty much every skin type so anyone can find something that will work for them. Recently, as a member of ChickAdvisor, I had the opportunity to try out their Pureté Thermale Cleansing Routine*. While I had tried one of the products before, I was actually already a huge fan of it, the other two were new to me and I was excited to give them a try. I've been using these products consistently for the past three weeks and I'm ready to give my review.

I am a huge fan of supporting Canadian brands, because I feel like there's an emerging beauty industry coming out of Canada that doesn't necessarily get enough attention. When I got the opportunity to try a luxury skin care brand out of Vancouver that was developed by a dermatologist with 30 years of experience in the field, I was more than excited to give it a try. I had the opportunity to try two products - the Foaming Gel Cleanser* and the Daily Moisturizing Cream* and I've given them a significant testing period and I'm ready to let you guys know what I thought of them!

I've tried a LOT of skin care this year. Seriously, I feel like this has been an insane year of trying out new skin care products in my life. That said, my skin is currently better than it has ever been and constantly getting closer and closer to the skin I've always wanted. Nothing better than that, am I right? Sometimes I feel like the biggest part of finding the skin care routine that works for you is going to involve a lot of trial and error, and I feel like that's what 2015 has been about for me. And trust me, there have been some serious winners that got injected into the routine this year. Every single one of these has been new-to-me this year and I still use all of them consistently!

To be really honest, skin care has become probably the most significant part of my entire beauty routine - especially since starting this blog. I've had the chance to try out a lot of products and I'm consistently working on figuring out which products work the best for my skin. Recently, I had the opportunity to try out the Clean & Clear Pore Perfect Routine*. To be honest, I was really skeptical at first because I'd always thought of Clean & Clear as a line of skin care that was more targeted for teenage skin issues. In fact, when I was a teenager I actually did use Clean & Clear and I remember really liking it, but it had been years since I had tried anything from the brand. I have normal to dry 30something skin and I definitely struggle with clogged pores more than anything. It's really only been in the past few years that clogged pores have really been a problem for me, I used to get active breakouts more when my skin was a little more oily, and I've  been really actively searching for a routine that will combat that. I've been using this line consistently in my skin care routine for a couple of weeks and I'm ready to give you my thoughts!

You guys know how much I love Korean skin care. I swear, now that I'm not getting my Memebox fix anymore, I head to my favorite K-Beauty websites about once a week to pretend shop. In fact, last week when I was leaving Toronto, I was feeling a lot of anxiety about leaving and so I was virtual shopping on my phone in the airport as we waited for our flight. And speaking of my trip to Toronto, on the short list of places I absolutely needed to shop was THEFACESHOP. I've been using products from THEFACESHOP since the very beginning of my foray into Korean beauty and I feel like they're a consistently good brand when it comes to skin care. Recently, I was sent 3 products from their Chia Seed skincare line to test out and I'm ready to give you guys my thoughts!

I'm in my 30s now and I pretty much mourn the skin of my early 20s every time I let myself think about it. As we age we start to see the subtle ways that our skin changes and just doesn't bounce back the way that it used to, we see fine lines and texture imperfections more noticeably than we used to and some of us (about 80% of us actually) still suffer from the breakouts we were convinced as teenagers that we'd grow out of. Because of all of these things, I think this is really the point for most of us when we really start thinking seriously about skin care if we haven't started already. My particular skin issues tend to be hormonal breakouts as well as clogged and enlarged pores. I also have some acne scars and hyper-pigmentation, both of which are things that I tend to be quite insecure about. I'm consistently on the hunt for the perfect routine to give me the best skin I can have, so I was excited to try out these products from Miracle 10 that I won in a blog giveaway over at Lipstick And Laura. (Thanks again, Laura!)

I feel like I've given these a really solid testing period by now and am ready to give you my thoughts on all of the products. Miracle 10 promises to offer results in 10 Hours, 10 Days, and 10 Weeks, and I feel like I can definitely give my thoughts on the 10 Hours and 10 Days promises at this point. Keep reading for a look at the products included in this collection as well as my experiences and thoughts on each of them.
